Ingredients

  • 10 ripe mangosteens
  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 3 sweet ripe mangoes
  • 1 liter water
  • Vanilla sugar (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fruit

Wash all the fruits thoroughly.

Peel the pineapple, reserving the pineapple skin. Cut the pineapple flesh into chunks and set aside.

Open the mangosteens and remove the white flesh from each fruit.

Peel the mangoes and remove the flesh from the pits.

Step 2: Make the Pineapple Skin Infusion

Place the pineapple skins into a large pot and add 1 liter of water.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.

Turn off the heat and allow the infusion to cool completely.

Optional: If you prefer a sweeter juice, you may add sugar while the pineapple skins are simmering so it dissolves completely.

Step 3: Blend

Place the pineapple chunks, mangosteen flesh, and mango flesh into a blender.

Gradually add some of the cooled pineapple skin infusion while blending until the mixture is smooth.

Step 4: Strain

Pour the blended fruit into a large bowl.

Add the remaining pineapple skin infusion and stir well.

Strain the juice.

Serve chilled and enjoy.

Recipe Tips

  • The sweeter and riper your fruits are, the better the flavor will be.
  • This recipe is naturally sweet, so additional sugar is usually unnecessary.
  • Chill the juice before serving for the best taste.
  • Serve over ice for an extra-refreshing drink.

For Larger Batches

If you’re preparing this juice for a large gathering, simply increase the amount of water used to simmer the pineapple skins. This creates more flavorful infusion while keeping the delicious tropical taste.

If you plan to sweeten the juice, add the sugar during the simmering stage so it dissolves evenly.
